This randomized controlled trial evaluated the effects of short-term muscle training on blood pressure, heart rate, and pulmonary and physical function in 17 hospitalized patients with COPD. Pulmonary function before and after 2 weeks of inspiratory muscle training was assessed using the Vitalograph COPD-6 device.
