This hospital-based cross-sectional study examined the diagnostic applicability of a minispirometer or a peak flow meter, as compared with standard spirometry, in 360 patients with asthma and COPD in Trivandrum, South India. As part of the study, researchers utilized the Vitalograph COPD-6 monitor (FEV1, FEV6, FEV1/FEV6 ratio) and the Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio).
