Benefits of home spirometry in patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

A recent study by Wasilewska E, et al. (2022) evaluated the effect of home spirometry monitoring on pulmonary function and the strength of respiratory muscles as well as the benefits to DMD patients. The study concluded that “remote home spirometry is usable for everyday monitoring of the lung function in DMD patients and can also be treated as respiratory muscle training”.
