This study examined the relationship between ventilatory parameters and BMI, age, glycosylated hemoglobin, duration of diabetes, and blood glucose in 200 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Lagos, Nigeria. Pulmonary function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF) was carried out using a calibrated Vitalograph In2itive spirometer with Spirotrac software.
