Inhaler Training
The Aerosol Inhalation Monitor (AIM) is an effective tool for assessing inhaler technique and for training subjects in DPI or MDI inhaler use to help ensure effective drug delivery.
Vitalographs Inhaler Training Solution (AIMs) verifies a patients inhalation technique (DPI or MDI), giving sponsors confidence in patient data relating to the compliance of inhaled treatments. Data from the device can be centralised and integrated with other key respiratory clinical endpoints.
The device measures inspiratory flow rate, duration, breath-hold and MDI activation, all of which are critical to ensure drug is not wasted and subjects get the best from the prescribed dose. The AIM can be used for training with a variety of inhaler types, MDI, DPI and custom inhaler types are also possible.
As well as supporting standard inhaler types, custom inhalers can also be developed as required.
The solution is especially useful for device-handling studies and those where the drug is expected to have marginal improvements, where administration of the drug is all the more important.
