Nicotine, carbon monoxide, and carcinogen exposure after a single use of a water pipe

This study examined systemic absorption of nicotine, carbon monoxide, and carcinogens after single use of a waterpipe (ie hookah) in 16 subjects. The concentration of expired carbon monoxide was measured using the Vitalograph BreathCO monitor.
