Rationale and design of TransplantLines: A prospective cohort study and biobank of solid organ transplant recipients

This paper described the rationale for and design of a prospective, single-center cohort study and biobank of solid organ transplant recipients in the Netherlands; it is planned that 3000 participants will be enrolled in the study. The primary endpoint will be all-cause mortality and graft failure; secondary endpoints will be cause-specific mortality, cause-specific graft failure, and rejection. As part of the study, FEV1 will be measured using the Vitalograph Asma-1 handheld respiratory monitor.
