Thomas Williamson Recognised at The Engineering Trust Annual Awards

We are delighted to share that Thomas Williamson, PFT Service Technician, has been honoured at the Engineering Trust Annual Awards 2025, receiving Highly Commended in The Trevor Woodger Award for Progression. This award recognises apprentices who have shown exceptional personal and professional growth.

Thomas joined Vitalograph with limited formal qualifications, but from day one he demonstrated keen interest and dedication. His manager, Lee Powell, Senior PFT Service Technician, shared his pride in Thomas’s journey:

“When Thomas left school and joined Vitalograph, he had no formal qualifications. Over the past two years he has worked extremely hard, balancing his responsibilities at Vitalograph with intensive college work. This achievement is testament to his work ethic and potential as an engineer.”

Reflecting on the experience, Thomas said:

"I’ve grown so much since starting my apprenticeship with no engineering experience in 2023 and have enjoyed every challenge along the way. Huge thanks to Lee Powell and Katie Crook for their guidance and mentorship I can’t wait to see what the future holds at Vitalograph in my new role."

The Engineering Trust Annual Awards celebrate outstanding young apprentices who are making a strong impact in their industries. Thomas’s nomination reflects not only his personal perseverance but the value he brings to our team and the wider organisation.

This is a moment of great pride for Thomas, his mentors, and the wider Vitalograph team. We look forward to seeing his continued growth and future contributions.
