Lung function trajectories from school age to adulthood and their relationship with markers of cardiovascular disease risk

Disease Areas:
Population study
Device Types:
Spirotrac,Pneumotrac

"This study evaluated whether stable and reproducible lung function trajectories could be derived in different populations, and investigated their association with objective measures of cardiovascular structure and function. Trajectories in FEV1/FVC ratio were identified from three population-based birth cohorts in which enrolled subjects underwent repeat spirometry from childhood into early adulthood. One of the cohorts was the ALSPAC, in which participants underwent spirometric testing at age 8.5, 15 and 24 years using a calibrated Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer with Spirotrac software."
