Transgender athletes in sport: A conceptual decision-making framework enabled by athlete laboratory performance data.

This thesis described a framework to guide decision-making on the eligibility of transgender athletes to participate in elite sports. The research included a cross-sectional study designed to compare standard laboratory performance metrics of transgender athletes to cisgender athletes; endpoints of interest included lung function (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF), which was performed using a Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
