Emissions from road transport vehicles and respiratory health in rural and urban communities, Kano State, Nigeria: A comparative cross sectional study

This cross-sectional study evaluated the impact of vehicular emissions on air pollution/quality and respiratory health in 180 urban- and rural-dwelling adults and children living in Kano State, Nigeria. As part of the study, all participants underwent a respiratory examination; this included measurement of FEV1, FEV6, and FEV1/FEV6 ratio using the Vitalograph COPD-6 monitor.
