Cardiac troponin T as a serum biomarker of respiratory impairment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

This retrospective, observational, cross-sectional study assessed the relationship between cardiac troponin T levels and respiratory function in two hospital-based cohorts of patients diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. As part of the study, pulmonary function (FEV1, FVC, FRC, IC, RV, SVC, TLC, VC, VT) was measured using a Vitalograph spirometer with Spirotrac software.
