Impaired neuromuscular efficiency and symptom-limited aerobic exercise capacity 4 weeks after recovery from COVID-19 appear to be associated with disease severity at onset

Disease Areas:
COVID-19
Device Types:
Asma-1, 4000 series

This observational, cross-sectional study evaluated neuromuscular recruitment and efficiency in patients who had recovered from COVID-19, as well as the association between neuromuscular efficiency and symptom-limited cardiopulmonary exercise capacity. As part of the study, maximum voluntary ventilation and breathing reserve was measured prior to cardiopulmonary exercise testing using the Vitalograph Asma-1 electronic respiratory monitor.
