The athletes versus lung volume responses of non-athlete children to intense exercise

This cross-sectional study compared lung volume responses in 1500 child athletes and non-athletes aged 8–18 years. Pulmonary function was assessed as part of the study, with FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF, and FEF25–75 measured using a calibrated Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
