Committed to
improving people’s lives

Our day-to-day work is grounded on the principle of improving people’s lives. To support this, we’ve also established a five pillar framework of philanthropic initiatives that allow us to give back to the people in our communities.

Philanthropic 50 years

50 years supporting local and global communities.

Since being founded in 1963, we’ve embraced our responsibility as a corporate citizen, with a commitment to improving peoples lives beyond what is achievable through the nature of our business. We seek to be a good local and global neighbour, guided by a range of philanthropic initiatives that fall into five distinct pillars.

Philanthropic 1 global lung health
1 . Global lung health

Reducing health disparity by improving access to respiratory care

There is much to be done in the march towards proper lung care for all. We support initiatives that reduce health disparity by improving access to respiratory care in underserved communities globally.

Research is key to unlocking future advances in this vital area of overall health and well-being. We support projects that enable advancement for therapies that address lung conditions and that can improve the quality of life of people dealing with lung disease.

Philanthropic 2 education
2. Education

Enabling people of all abilities to reach their full potential

Education is the passport to the future for all. We value the impact that education has on our lives and support initiatives that invest time and effort in enabling people of all abilities to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

From the youngest of children to those who are learning in their later years, we give to schools, institutions, and individuals, so that they may invest in education that meets their unique priorities.

Sport
3. Sport

Supporting charitable organisations that aim to improve access

Nothing has a greater impact on long-term health and well-being than physical activity. We are proud to support charitable organisations that aim to improve access to sports and that nurture sporting talent in our communities.

Where individuals are unable to pursue their sporting goals through financial constraints, we seek to lessen their financial burden through charitable giving.

Philanthropic 4 employee causes
4. Employee causes

Supporting our people’s volunteering efforts

Our employees are our company. They give generously of their time and talents to many charitable causes. We aim to support their volunteering efforts where possible. This may be the sponsorship of a teenage drama club coached by an employee, or the support of a charity race that one of our team is running in.

Our employees reflect our value of ‘people’ and we are proud of the immense impact their contributions have in their local communities and the lives of their loved ones.

Philanthropic 5 community empowerment
5. Community empowerment

Understanding people’s right to access impartial advice

We believe in the importance of each person’s right to access impartial advice and advocacy for the problems that they face and to understand their rights and responsibilities.

We aim to strengthen empowerment in our neighborhoods by helping to fund citizen advocacy initiatives that help people during difficult times, such as when facing a crisis, tackling debt, or dealing with any hardship.
