Ventilatory functions in response to bicycle ergometry training in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy

This single-blind, randomized study evaluated the impact of physical therapy, with or without bicycle ergometry, on ventilatory function and motor ability in 30 boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Study outcomes included lung function (FEV1, FVC), which was assessed using a calibrated Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
