Inhaler Mastery and Retention after Stepwise Training in Cognitively Impaired Older COPD

This study evaluated whether cognitively impaired older adults with COPD could learn and retain correct inhaler technique after structured training, and compared different inhaler devices. The Aerosol Inhalation Monitor (AIM) (Vitalograph) was used to assess inhalation technique and provide feedback on inspiratory flow, coordination and breath-holding during training.
