It was a day full of great news for our former placement student Shiyamalaraj Kandasamy who graduated from the University of Buckingham in March.

He was awarded two prizes for his MSc in Data Science (with Distinction):

  1. The Ruffley Prize for the Outstanding Postgraduate Project
  2. The Dame Barbara Shenfield Award – a solid gold medal

The Dame Barbara Shenfield Award was instituted in memory of Dame Barbara Shenfield, a founder member of the University’s Council. The award is made annually to the postgraduate who is judged to have achieved the best overall performance of the year.

Shiyam completed his Masters’ project placement with Vitalograph between August and December 2022, his project was titled “Data Mining Potentials in Clinical Trials Registries”.

Congratulations from all the team, Shiyam!
