Vitalograph Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation & Growth in Ennis
Vitalograph, a global leader in respiratory diagnostic solutions, has opened a special commemorative exhibition in glór entitled “50 Years of Growing with Ennis” as it marks the 50th anniversary of Vitalograph Ireland Ltd operating in County Clare.
The exhibition celebrates Vitalograph’s connection with Ennis and provides a fascinating historical and social commentary for everyone to enjoy. Engaging displays and interactive elements document the company’s evolution and achievements over the past five decades as seen through the eyes of past and current employees.
The exhibition was launched by Mayor of Ennis, Clare Colleran Molloy, who spoke candidly about respiratory health conditions such as cystic fibrosis, a disease which she has previously fundraised for with the support of Vitalograph. She highlighted Vitalograph's contribution as a key employer in the region, adding tremendous value to the town of Ennis as a great place to live and work.
Bernard Garbe, Chairperson of Vitalograph's Board of Directors, captivated the audience as he reflected on the incredible history of Vitalograph. He highlighted the ingenuity and business acumen of his parents, Dietmar and Margaret, who were a formidable team. Mr Garbe painted a compelling picture of a resilient company that has experienced highs and lows. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Mr Garbe highlighted this as a key ingredient for Vitalograph's enduring success.
Speaking at the launch, Vitalograph's CEO Frank Keane said: “The central focus of this exhibition is our people, past and present. If it weren’t for the Vitalograph team over the past 50 years, Vitalograph would not be where it is today. We are one of the largest employers in Ennis and we want to celebrate the fact that you can develop a world-class company right here. The support, infrastructure and talent are here and they’ve been crucial to our success.”
Based in Ennis since 1974, today Vitalograph is a global leader in respiratory diagnostics. The company develops and manufactures respiratory diagnostic solutions for all levels of the healthcare sector. It also delivers clinical trial services to pharmaceutical companies around the world that are developing therapies with a respiratory focus. Notably, Vitalograph is the only company in the world providing FDA-validated objective cough monitoring to commercial pharmaceutical companies, biotech and research organizations.
