Advancing Outcome Measurement in Refractory or Unexplained Chronic Cough

This PhD research advanced outcome measurement in refractory and unexplained chronic cough by evaluating emerging therapies, placebo effects, and developing the McMaster Cough Severity Questionnaire (MCSQ). The VitaloJAK cough monitor was used extensively in associated clinical studies to objectively measure 24-hour, awake, and sleep cough frequency, providing key efficacy endpoints for evaluating treatments such as gefapixant and in the planned FORTITUDE trial.
