Association of preserved ratio impaired spirometry with airflow obstruction and mortality among silicotic patients: A cohort study

Disease Areas:
Population study
Device Types:
Wedge Bellows

This retrospective cohort study examined the relationship between PRISm, airflow obstruction, and mortality in 4315 silicotic patients in Hong Kong. Lung function (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) was measured at baseline and over the course of follow-up (median 8.3 years) using the Vitalograph wedge bellows spirometer.
