This study assessed the relationship between long-term exercise and lung function in patients enrolled at an adult cystic fibrosis clinic in Manchester, United Kingdom. The primary endpoint was whole blood lactate levels; secondary endpoints were heart rate and pulmonary function. Specific lung function endpoints included FEV1 and FVC, as measured using the Vitalograph dry bellows spirometer.
