This study examined the longitudinal relationship between pulmonary function and the development of cirrhosis in 308,678 individuals enrolled in the UK Biobank. Lung function was assessed at the baseline visit, with measurements (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) collected using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
