Telomere length and aging-related outcomes in humans: A Mendelian randomization study in 261,000 older participants

Disease Areas:
Population study
Device Types:
Spirotrac,Pneumotrac

This study examined the association between genetically determined telomere length and aging‐related health outcomes over a mean follow-up period of 7.5 years in 379,758 participants aged 40–70 years in the UK Biobank. Physiological biomarkers included FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, heel bone mineral density, hemoglobin concentration, and blood pressure. FEV1 and FVC were measured using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
