Muscle loss phenotype in COPD is associated with adverse outcomes in the UK Biobank

This retrospective, population-based cohort analysis used data from 55,782 subjects enrolled in the UK Biobank to evaluate the proportion of patients with COPD who met criteria for a muscle loss phenotype. Patients included in the UK Biobank underwent lung function testing, which was performed using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
