Exercise capacity and ventilatory response in children who were born preterm, with and without bronchopulmonary dysplasia

This prospective observational study evaluated exercise capacity and ventilatory responses in children and adolescents born preterm with bronchopulmonary dysplasia, as compared with preterm peers without bronchopulmonary dysplasia and term-born controls. As part of the study, participants underwent lung function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEF25–75), which was performed using a Vitalograph In2itive spirometer.
