Factors associated with coronary heart disease in COPD patients and controls

This cross-sectional study evaluated the risk of coronary heart disease in patients with COPD (n=347) and in non-COPD control subjects (n=428), as well as potential factors associated with coronary heart disease in individuals with and without COPD. All study participants underwent lung function testing (FEV1, FVC) using a Vitalograph wedge bellows spirometer.
