Novel cough bout metrics to support assessment of treatment response to AX-8

This study categorized cough bout metrics into count-based and duration-based hierarchies to assess response to AX-8 in 24 subjects with moderate-to-severe throat discomfort, and examined the relationships between these measures. Data were derived from annotated audio recordings collected using the Vitalograph VitaloJAK cough monitor over a period of 24 hours prior to and following treatment.
