Cardiac troponin T is a serum biomarker of respiratory dysfunction in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

This retrospective study examined the relationship between serum troponin T levels and respiratory function in two cohorts of patients (n=346) with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. In one of the cohorts, lung function testing (FEV1, FVC, SVC, PEF, IC, TLC) was undertaken using a Vitalograph spirometer with Spirotrac software.
