Preserved ratio impaired spirometry and risks of macrovascular, microvascular complications and mortality among individuals with type 2 diabetes

This study examined the relationship between PRISm and new-onset macrovascular and microvascular complications and mortality in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Data were obtained from 20,047 diabetic individuals enrolled in the UK Biobank who had complete spirometric data. Lung function testing in the UK Biobank was undertaken using a calibrated Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
