Recommended Cleaning Instructions
for your Spirometry Device

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever that spirometry devices are completely clean and decontaminated when necessary.

Use a new bacterial viral filter (BVF) for every patient using a spirometer or respiratory monitor. The outside surfaces of your Vitalograph device and flowhead may be cleaned with a 70% isopropyl alcohol impregnated cloth to remove any visible soiling and for low level disinfection.

If you suspect your device has become contaminated, or if a higher level of decontamination of your device is required, here are instructions on how to clean your Spirometry devices correctly.
