No personal information such as patient demographics are entered or stored on the device.

Can I use a Bacterial Viral Filter (BVF) with the Lung Monitor BT Smart?

Yes. A BVF is recommended if the Lung Monitor BT Smart is intended for in clinic use. The plastic mouthpiece supplied with the device can be used where the device is intended for single-patient use. For patient groups with excessive sputum production, a BVF can be used to protect the device flowhead from exhaled particulate matter where this may be a concern.

What does the quality of blow indicator detect?

If a new BVF is used for every test and the Lung Monitor BT Smart is stored in a clean, dust free environment, then the device should require only surface cleaning using a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe. Full instructions available at 4000 Series Cleaning Instructions.
