FAQs

A BVF is recommended if the asma-1 BT is intended for multi-subject use. The plastic mouthpiece supplied with the device can be used where the device is intended for single-subject use. For subject groups with excessive sputum production, a BVF can be used to protect the device flowhead from exhaled particulate matter where this may be a concern.

The (!) appears after a blow if a cough is detected in the 1st second.

If a new BVF is used for every test and the asma-1 BT is stored in a clean, dust free environment, then the device should require only surface cleaning using a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe. Full instructions available at 4000 Series Cleaning Instructions.

The asma-1 BT needs a supporting App to connect to a phone or tablet. If you have installed an App that supports the asma-1 BT, please contact your App provider to check compatibility with your cell phone/tablet make and model.
