Micro Spirometer
A compact solution that offers simple and fast diagnostic spirometry in a lightweight, handheld device for accurate testing on the move.
The micro™ is a handheld spirometer offering full feature functionality. Powered by USB or batteries, the micro is portable and ideal for simple testing and reporting of spirometry.
Ideal for use on subjects within general healthcare and occupational health environments. Spirometry test results and graphs are displayed on the device for instant review. Vitalograph Device Studio reporting software is included as standard for generating PDF reports and receiving the latest firmware updates.
The flowhead on the micro can be set up to work remotely using the optional Remote Flowhead Kit. Separating the flowhead from the device allows the user to view the device screen during testing.
Keeping the device clean is easy and inexpensive using Bacterial Viral Filters (BVF™), with validated cross-contamination efficiency >99.999%.

FAQs
Can I use rechargeable batteries in the micro?
AddThe Vitalograph micro uses 4 x 1.5V non-rechargeable IEC60086 certified AAA alkaline batteries. This allows the device to be used without the USB cable connected to the device. Rechargeable batteries may be used but the batteries should be fully charged when commencing testing.
Does the micro require cleaning?
AddWhere a new BVF is used for each subject, only the flowhead surface which comes into contact with subjects being tested should require low level cleaning. For cleaning instructions refer to our micro Cleaning Instructions.
Can I view results on the micro for a previously tested subject after a test session has ended?
AddNo. Once a test session has ended, a report must be generated to view the results.
Can the micro be used with Spirotrac software?
AddNo. The micro comes with Vitalograph Device Studio Software for creating editable PDF reports (for printing, filing, and uploading to EMR systems).
Does the micro spirometer require calibration?
AddNo, the micro spirometer does not require full calibration. ATS/ERS 2019 Technical Standard recommends a simple calibration verification routine be undertaken daily on all spirometers, regardless of flow technology. A calibration verification is not to be confused with calibration.
What are the running costs for the micro?
AddRunning costs are low for the micro as no expensive disposable sensors, adaptors or flow tubes are required. The simple, validated hygiene system using Bacterial Viral Filters means that keeping the device clean is easy and inexpensive.
