An exploration of clinically meaningful definitions of cough bouts

This study explored the influence of different definitions of cough bouts on cough bout parameters, and their relationships with reported cough severity, age, and gender in 91 patients with refractory chronic cough. The analysis used 24-hour acoustic cough recordings that were obtained using the Vitalograph VitaloJAK cough monitor.
