Association between everyday technology use, activities of daily living and health-related quality of life in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

This cross-sectional study investigated whether HRQoL was associated with performance of activities of daily living and everyday technology use in 80 patients with COPD aged 46–87 years; also assessed was whether lung function, time since diagnosis, living status, or educational level affected physical and mental domains of HRQoL. As part of the study, at-home lung function testing (FEV1, FEV1/FEV6 ratio) was undertaken using the Vitalograph COPD-6 device.
