Cross-shift and longitudinal changes in FEV1 among wood dust exposed workers

This study examined the association between cross-shift and longitudinal changes in FEV1 in 817 dry wood dust-exposed woodworkers and 136 control subjects in Denmark; the study was conducted over a 6-year follow-up period. Pulmonary function testing (FEV1, FVC) at baseline and follow-up was performed using a Vitalograph dry wedge spirometer.
