Effects of mixed hardwoods dust on respiratory function and blood immunoglobulin levels in wood workers

This cross-sectional study compared the impact of mixed tropical hardwood dust on lung function, respiratory symptoms, and immunoglobulin E and G levels in 150 wood workers, as compared with 120 unexposed workers. As part of the study, participants underwent lung function testing (VC, FVC, FEV1, PEF, FEF25–75) using a Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
