The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) created its evidence-based Work-related Asthma Guideline to primarily address diagnostic options to help determine whether an employee has asthma, and whether the asthma is related to workplace exposures (Fig. 1). It was designed to present health care providers—who are the primary target users—with evidence based guidance on the evaluation and treatment of WRA. This report summarizes findings from that Guideline.
