Daily associations of air pollution and pediatric asthma risk using the Biomedical REAI-Time Health Evaluation (BREATHE) kit

This study examined the effects of daily air pollution exposure on the risk of acute asthma exacerbation in 40 asthmatic children (8–16 years) with moderate-to-severe disease. As part of the study, subjects measured FEV1 and PEF at home on a twice-daily basis using the Vitalograph Asma-1 Bluetooth-enabled peak flow meter.
