Different case finding approaches to optimise copd diagnosis: Evidence from the RADICALS trial

This study used data from a cluster randomized controlled trial to establish the best combination of measures to optimize the diagnosis of COPD in a primary care setting; the study was conducted in 335 current or ex-smokers, including patients with established COPD. As part of the study, lung function testing (FEV1, FEV6, FEV1/FEV6 ratio) was undertaken using the Vitalograph handheld COPD-6 device.
