Interdisciplinary COPD intervention in primary care: A cluster randomised controlled trial

Disease Areas:
COPD
Device Types:
4000 Series,COPD-6

This was a randomized controlled trial that evaluated the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary, primary care-based model of care versus usual care in 272 COPD patients enrolled at general practices across Australia. The primary endpoint was change in overall health-related QoL per the SGRQ; secondary endpoints included CAT score, mMRC grade, lung function (FEV1 % predicted), HADS score, HSI score, and biochemically verified 7-day point prevalence smoking abstinence. Lung function was evaluated using a Vitalograph handheld COPD-6 device.
