Longitudinal decline in pulmonary diffusing capacity among nitrate fertilizer workers

This was a longitudinal study that examined the effects of occupational exposure to aerosols and gases on pulmonary diffusing capacity in 308 nitrate fertilizer production workers in Norway. As part of the study, lung function testing (FEV1, FVC) was undertaken using a Vitalograph wedge bellows spirometer.
