Managing chronic cough due to asthma and NAEB in adults and adolescents: CHEST expert panel report

Disease Areas:
Cough,Asthma
Device Types:

A series of three systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials and observational trials was undertaken to examine the role of non-invasive measurements of airway inflammation (including induced sputum and FeNO) in cough associated with asthma and non-asthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis; included trials were those in adults and adolescents aged >12 years. As part of the project, areas of future research were examined, including the need to include objective measures of cough in interventional asthma trials (eg "cough scores, cough-specific health status, and cough monitors").
