NT-proBNP <95 ng/L can exclude pulmonary hypertension on echocardiography at diagnostic workup in patients with interstitial lung disease

This study was undertaken to confirm whether a NT-pro-brain natriuretic peptide value of <95 ng/L could preclude the presence of pulmonary hypertension in 118 patients with interstitial lung disease. As part of the study, patients underwent lung function testing (FEV1, FVC), which was performed using the Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
