Pattern and predictors for respiratory illnesses and symptoms and lung function among textile workers in Karachi, Pakistan

This cross-sectional study examined the burden of respiratory morbidity in 372 adult male workers from the spinning and weaving sections of textile mills in Karachi, Pakistan. As part of the study, participants underwent lung function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) using the Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
