Prospective study of lung function with prodromal, clinical parkinson’s disease, and mortality

This study examined the association between lung function and the risk of prodromal Parkinson's disease, clinically diagnosed Parkinson's disease, and Parkinson's disease-related mortality in 452,518 participants enrolled in the UK Biobank. Lung function parameters (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF) were based on spirometric testing undertaken using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
