The Danish Randomized Lung Cancer CT Screening Trial—Overall design and results of the prevalence round

This randomized controlled trial examined the effects, benefits, and harms of annual screening for lung cancer using low-dose CT, as compared with no screening, in 4104 smokers and ex-smokers in Denmark. As part of the study, participants underwent annual lung function testing using a Vitalograph spirometer with Spirotrac software.
