Unsupervised home spirometry is not equivalent to supervised clinic spirometry in children and young people with cystic fibrosis: Results from the CLIMB-CF study

Disease Areas:
Cystic fibrosis
Device Types:
Lung Monitor, 4000 series

The CLIMB‐CF study explored the feasibility and acceptability of home monitoring of children and young people with cystic fibrosis, including whether values collected during home spirometry were interchangeable with traditional, clinic‐based spirometry. A series of analyses were undertaken as part of the study, including an assessment of the accuracy of four new, unused, handheld Bluetooth Vitalograph Lung Monitor devices when tested using a 1L fixed-volume syringe and a 1–3L adjustable-volume syringe set to 3L.
