Prediction model derived from large-scale proteomics for risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the general population

This study aimed to develop and validate a protein risk score for predicting the risk of COPD in the general population using data from 31,304 participants enrolled in the UK Biobank Pharma Proteomics Project (a sub-study of the UK Biobank). Traditional clinical risk factors for COPD were included in the analysis, including lung function (FEV1, FVC), which was measured using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
